Country’s first of its kind heritage river front and UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal’s dream project- Chambal River Front Kota
UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal along with architect Anoop Bartaria and officers visited the riverfront, which is almost ready. He said that the entire cabinet will come to see the project and a cabinet meeting will be held in Kota.
Dhariwal claimed that the project with a cost of Rs 1,200 crore has been completed in a record time of just 3 years. It has been built on both sides of Kota barrage with various monuments, heritage attractions and commercial blocks.
Oxygen Park

Oxygen Park Kota

Kota, the engineering and medical coaching hub of India, is set to get a Rs 100 crore ‘Oxygen Park’ to help students de-stress. The world-class park named ‘Oxyzone’ is being built on over 71 acres of land and 72% of it will have dense forest cover.
More than 1.5 lakh students come here every year for coaching for medical and engineering entrance examinations, and the huge ‘Oxygen Park’ will be like an oxygen factory for these coaching students, children, the elderly and tourists. It will become a centre of attraction and will also help attract native and foreign birds.
The park will also have several attractions for Kota’s student population and they will also be able to relax and study here.
Chambal River

The Chambal River flows alongside Kota. This river is a tributary of Yamuna River. The last major dam on Chambal River, named Kota Barrage, is situated here only. The dam was constructed in 1955 to stop water for the production of electricity through thermal power.

The city is the trade centre for an area in which cotton, millet, wheat, coriander and oilseeds are grown; industries include cotton and oilseed milling, textile weaving, distilling, dairying, and the manufacture of metal handcrafts. Kota also has an extensive industry of stone-polishing of a stone called Kota Stone.
